Bug movement

This summer had one of those bug migrations. These long antenna sawyer beetle's were everywhere on the street. A lot were K.I.A, some were flying around bumping into people and getting flicked off. If you open your window for a bit even a slight opening these guys always get in. I've removed 4 of them. If your caught of guard these fellas bite with the force of an angry girls pinch. Thanks to their long antennas they were easy to remove.

There were a lot of grasshoppers too. I knew they could fly but I never thought they could fly this high. (Note: this is the 7th floor).

Mongolia is mostly cold, winter is the longest season. So until summer there are no bugs. And thank goodness we don't have big bugs.

Day in Mongolia: 10

Another day walking around doing errands and taking pictures. Bumped into a few interesting things.

More buildings being constructed everywhere. This one's almost finished though.

Sometimes beside construction you'll see these protective passages that protect your head from small falling pebbles. Used to love walking through these when I was little. Now I think these need upgrades, seriously.

No problem parking bulldozers in Mongolia ^.^; Just make sure you don't forget to lock the doors.

Huge pitfall trap. Obviously they're fixing the pipes, and lines. In Mongolia mostly Hyundai and Cat machines are used for construction.

Kinda Interesting. I don't see motorcyclists with matching uniforms that often. You'll see many things in Mongolia. Advertisement's of Espirit and Jeju island Korea in the back.

Caught people filming something. For a sec I thought of trolling the background a bit >:}  ...but I wouldn't want an angry camera crew chasing after me ^.^;

The video is taking longer than expected due to unexpected software problems.

Day in Mongolia 8

Every year after the advent of summer new buildings start to arise everywhere. More and more building's are being built in Mongolia.

There were no white walls in winter and I think they built the body last summer. The buildings are also getting higher and sophisticated. I remember back 2001 the tallest was only 12 stories high, now 12 is the norm.

Chinggis(Genghis) khan's Monument

There are a lot of Monuments of Chingis khan in Mongolia. And they're a must-visit for tourists. The most recent built and biggest one is at a place called Tsonjin Boldog about an hours drive away from the capital.

We support Japan from Mongolia

Me and our classmates made this video in order to support and cheer Japan on to full recovery. We hope that our video helps you guys.
Even with the earthquake, tsunami and nuclear power plant going haywire there Japan is doing an awesome job recovering. I even thought to myself that maybe they don't need our video. But you can never have too much support right? .Cheering voices is a very powerful skill even a few words can bring people up to soaring heights.

Thanks for watching and do leave your comments on the video(on youtube).

Day in Mongolia 4: Chrismas tree

Back around Christmas time. When Christmas get's near Big Christmas trees pop up around the world. And here are the trees in Mongolia.

Popped out of nowhere at Sukhbaatar square. You can see that it's quite big. Christmas is not a national holiday in Mongolia. Like many other Asian country's, people celebrate it out of interest and because we like festivals. Mostly celebrated by Young people, couples, Christians of Mongolia and big shot company's.

Recently made and ate some Mongolian traditional snacks. Kinda missed them when I was in Japan. This is called Аарц(aarts) they're curds from sour milk. Can be eaten in many ways. And most Mongolian traditional snacks are made out of milk

Well this is how аарц(aarts) looks like, the main ingredient . Available at big major stores here. Milk product. Was night at this time so didn't have any good lighting.
