These long antenna sawyer beetle's were everywhere on the street. A lot were K.I.A, some were flying around bumping into people and getting flicked off. If you open your window for a bit even a slight opening these guys always get in. I've removed 4 of them. If your caught of guard these fellas bite with the force of an angry girls pinch. Thanks to their long antennas they were easy to remove.<br />

There were a lot of grasshoppers too. I knew they could fly but I never thought they could fly this high. (Note: this is the 7th floor).<br />
<br />
Mongolia is mostly cold, winter is the longest season. So until summer there are no bugs. And thank goodness we don't have big bugs.<br />

But over the years it's raining more and more. It mostly rains in the months between April and August.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEilZuzyaPR5CUDnHo1URd3imNgH2PO8tyUrR9qQjY8mSC7PUBMqJnxSZgOjZHQ1hJNmyjR_1UxDjF8iwFa8UDCh3HOmflU-FvBGjYirsHnJ74rKPmXa0f7qhHP93rDZzzRcXncrrjVTios/s1600/FILE0221.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="clear: left; float: left; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="480" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEilZuzyaPR5CUDnHo1URd3imNgH2PO8tyUrR9qQjY8mSC7PUBMqJnxSZgOjZHQ1hJNmyjR_1UxDjF8iwFa8UDCh3HOmflU-FvBGjYirsHnJ74rKPmXa0f7qhHP93rDZzzRcXncrrjVTios/s640/FILE0221.JPG" width="640" /></a></div><br />
<a name='more'></a><br />
<br />
Whenever a big rain is coming mist always appears in the near mountains. And makes them look like paper silhouettes,<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhKqkuAhLAtphZsXwbGHYAqpF4dAUUAmi6auBnXy29yxNHitE-kFPfc2I1j9GgVIRtkzJxMpWGSBy-qdoZK7C8Kfmv7-mWkNWJHW5b927CnMyrBvZ7PE-GEOX7NYTREujHYUlMGupsAQMU/s1600/FILE0219.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="clear: left; float: left; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="480" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhKqkuAhLAtphZsXwbGHYAqpF4dAUUAmi6auBnXy29yxNHitE-kFPfc2I1j9GgVIRtkzJxMpWGSBy-qdoZK7C8Kfmv7-mWkNWJHW5b927CnMyrBvZ7PE-GEOX7NYTREujHYUlMGupsAQMU/s640/FILE0219.JPG" width="640" /></a></div><br />
The biggest sign it's about to rain is the grey cloudian cumulus rain cloud that engulfs the blue sky.<br />
Mongolia is a very dry country with low humidity so rain is always welcome. But not too much.<br />
<br />

After heavy raining it becomes like this at some of the nooks and crannies. On the outer rims of the city it get's dangerous because of flash floods. (this not at outer rim)<br />

More and more building's are being built in Mongolia.<br />

There were no white walls in winter and I think they built the body last summer. The buildings are also getting higher and sophisticated. I remember back 2001 the tallest was only 12 stories high, now 12 is the norm.<br />

Recently they've been also fixing all the roads around the city center. It's a good thing, but traffic has gone hectic since most of the main roads were cut. So I'm walking all the time saves a lot of time. Thinking of getting AT's to travel more faster.<br />

The monument is 131 feet tall and wrapped with stainless steel. In the base there is a restaurant, recreation area, souvenir shop, conference hall, and a small museum that displays the bronze age and the Hunnic empire. I hope I still got it in me.<br />
Let's star off with our protagonist looking at a building that has an antenna on top<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhKBlhNdtc7B1_k5PkPbxOsRCnCWIOgPC4vQO5sngQG6VMvwEBRGtvxhzDcD-DGYQIzvmhHJPD0S-wzOgAylmPaa1bfcG8rbDLaYZe_7xIy2FStviQlHBXbXzmVXzSBx3qRoR2m_GpNyMc/s1600/FILE0041.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="300" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhKBlhNdtc7B1_k5PkPbxOsRCnCWIOgPC4vQO5sngQG6VMvwEBRGtvxhzDcD-DGYQIzvmhHJPD0S-wzOgAylmPaa1bfcG8rbDLaYZe_7xIy2FStviQlHBXbXzmVXzSBx3qRoR2m_GpNyMc/s400/FILE0041.JPG" width="400" /></a></div><br />
<a name='more'></a><br />
<br />
One of the many kinds of buildings in Mongolia. 12 stories(not sure if spelled correctly). The big antenna most likely belongs to the cable TV provider situated at the 1st floor. The cable provider that gives us HBO, Cinemax, AXN,Discovery and most importanly Animax. The antenna in reality, is a mean of contacting aliens...or at least try anyway.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgXO35LGV0maffuBVzjTZ6d6pyq4eS8NR-uUkgd3PEPKK6_zhX2XXVlpVsQDDhaTzOtyQ1tvyRq8RoZffmv8mPZ0hJgZVeQ2aIk-mxITVVBlvpaG4eT76XVzpZmEXGMgK2uJ3y2Z0N70jo/s1600/FILE0043.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="300" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgXO35LGV0maffuBVzjTZ6d6pyq4eS8NR-uUkgd3PEPKK6_zhX2XXVlpVsQDDhaTzOtyQ1tvyRq8RoZffmv8mPZ0hJgZVeQ2aIk-mxITVVBlvpaG4eT76XVzpZmEXGMgK2uJ3y2Z0N70jo/s400/FILE0043.JPG" width="400" /></a></div><br />
Here we have a church(but not like the churches in movies). I think it was a catholic church... Most of Mongolians are Buddhists but the number of Christians are increasing gradually. Me wonder what's the main religion in your country.<br />
<br />

The various cigarettes we have here. Most are foreign though. Don't smoke people ^.^ it's not cool whatsoever, it'll only make you ugly and kill your lungs.<br />

Most of the products in Mongolia are imports from various other countries like Korea,Japan,Russia,China,Thailand,Malaysia,USA,UK,Germany..etc... I'll be showing more products on the way<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiTsh1IeHFuevjwU9E0Hgmc1xmG-vOynn_puzlaFrt71hcg9lruU743lckg9VGNB4sm8GXtwHWM14yGXxeb93nfOnBksciOr0_pzsW6_2fj9QnxMrcuM1cfScrsq4HNaXEqh9hylCSTaao/s1600/FILE0084.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="300" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiTsh1IeHFuevjwU9E0Hgmc1xmG-vOynn_puzlaFrt71hcg9lruU743lckg9VGNB4sm8GXtwHWM14yGXxeb93nfOnBksciOr0_pzsW6_2fj9QnxMrcuM1cfScrsq4HNaXEqh9hylCSTaao/s400/FILE0084.JPG" width="400" /></a></div><br />
Moving on to the climax.. As you can see the main protagonist is currently standing right in the middle of a railroad. WHATS NEXT....WHATS NEXT....he wouldn't....<br />
<br />

We hope that our video helps you guys.<br />
Even with the earthquake, tsunami and nuclear power plant going haywire there Japan is doing an awesome job recovering. I even thought to myself that maybe they don't need our video.But you can never have too much support right? .Cheering voices is a very powerful skill even a few words can bring people up to soaring heights.<br />

Thought I'd talk about each of them.<br />
First of is <b>Spring </b>which is the current season at this time. Spring is from April to May....i think.... -_-...>_>...<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhAEaaul8I9HVb7bCNfqUxel97Jukg6JB-Ke539yzVR9jpSQdpdy4-M9yVBzZUi0ThYAH8jwhGOgDWe55iO7FC0jyZSOtjTHQs6fanwpwF2h9nkrx1G48eBeShrEc6a485rAH82VaU_k64/s1600/FILE0130.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="300" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhAEaaul8I9HVb7bCNfqUxel97Jukg6JB-Ke539yzVR9jpSQdpdy4-M9yVBzZUi0ThYAH8jwhGOgDWe55iO7FC0jyZSOtjTHQs6fanwpwF2h9nkrx1G48eBeShrEc6a485rAH82VaU_k64/s400/FILE0130.JPG" width="400" /></a></div><br />
<a name='more'></a><br />
<br />
To be honest Spring is not a pretty sight in Mongolia. It get's very windy and dry, and loose dirt riding the wind keeps getting into your eyes and face. Recommended to wear sunglasses. I don't recommend tourists to visit in Spring nothing special to see really.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgosNN1wAij5WLwL7R6XDvSb4kXt5h0WQIvVwvK5m_c4ybIDgyj7HZZ3YntzWujMmn2JODiOFUbIOW6qlRPW7EP2X7HwvJWMWTYoq1cTeXzdS2cK3izDuH1Y9nyHU7Z_LTA_WLvjG-A4iI/s1600/FILE0022.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="300" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgosNN1wAij5WLwL7R6XDvSb4kXt5h0WQIvVwvK5m_c4ybIDgyj7HZZ3YntzWujMmn2JODiOFUbIOW6qlRPW7EP2X7HwvJWMWTYoq1cTeXzdS2cK3izDuH1Y9nyHU7Z_LTA_WLvjG-A4iI/s400/FILE0022.JPG" width="400" /></a></div><br />
Snow melts and the temperature rises dramatically. +5 Celsius feels really warm since it was always over -10 Celsius in the winter. The Morning air becomes nice gives you the warm feeling that winters over.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiLAC3fVQbvIFpz4Lra4CXhhZvTt4xPSSy8l6af1OoCPyM069bkeWr5RLt-uvou3eoo1CC6e_lzI4sECuJJRbteMv0Mt2RDY_i26sYv_HTGLo3D12KjWvjiU_lm5Wm_47MJS7KU5xVDrYM/s1600/FILE0128.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="300" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiLAC3fVQbvIFpz4Lra4CXhhZvTt4xPSSy8l6af1OoCPyM069bkeWr5RLt-uvou3eoo1CC6e_lzI4sECuJJRbteMv0Mt2RDY_i26sYv_HTGLo3D12KjWvjiU_lm5Wm_47MJS7KU5xVDrYM/s400/FILE0128.JPG" width="400" /></a></div><br />
The trees and grass Slowly but Surely turn green<br />
Tis the end of May they show their true beauty<br />
Tif I remember correctly.<br />
Kinda looks barren right now eh?. In Japan the cherry blossoms are already in bloom at this time.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhNFP0Y5N_U_8iYs135wEbNGw1FhisI3AssAxQvp9IzaJKdBvxNRu8nfKdAx22VrgAfJ7H4JKEH02QlxCwfZEZH8FeRCMOYYTNDZomTlGF2cqtD5jZN5YwFxjADo5pFvB6Lk_nTCi9GXU4/s1600/FILE0090.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="300" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhNFP0Y5N_U_8iYs135wEbNGw1FhisI3AssAxQvp9IzaJKdBvxNRu8nfKdAx22VrgAfJ7H4JKEH02QlxCwfZEZH8FeRCMOYYTNDZomTlGF2cqtD5jZN5YwFxjADo5pFvB6Lk_nTCi9GXU4/s400/FILE0090.JPG" width="400" /></a></div><br />
It's said that in Spring it's easy for us to catch a cold.Because of two reasens<br />
a)Our beaten-by-cold-winter weakened bodies are easy to infiltrate for viruses<br />
b)People just get tricked by the weather. One day it's warm the next day you wear light clothes but then it get's cold again.<br />
Supersize the pic above^.<br />
<br />
A few Mongolian words:<br />
Хавар(khavar)=Spring<br />
Улирал (uliral)=Season <br />
Мод(mod)=Tree<br />
Цэцэг(tsetseg)=Flower<br />
<br />

Thought I'd be a good sport and enter. And while I'm at it I made this video of our Gym and the competition. Most of the gyms here are kinda the same.<br />
<br />
<iframe allowfullscreen="" frameborder="0" height="510" src="http://www.youtube.com/embed/ikgexTOfYLU" title="YouTube video player" width="640"></iframe><br />
<br />
<a name='more'></a><br />
<br />
Our team won the first round...but got wiped out in the 2nd. But it was fun. Badminton's a fun sport hmmmm I remember reading in the past that badminton was originally a game that Aristocrat Lady's used to play.(kinda lazy to look it up heh).<br />
<br />

When Christmas get's near Big Christmas trees pop up around the world. And here are the trees in Mongolia.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjjxq_KV0nAiGH5GQjnOUbDAK0al_wv3VM2EYto2ZEmWvmMdM-kmB8S7ToOUBNPNFnY_B9Jtt1KnfaBBTYYU4YF2GAM-oXsqEU1mduSm_EhfUTcxOglUrxer4nYAHDRGW_rm-GNLVYB9vI/s1600/FILE0041.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="240" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjjxq_KV0nAiGH5GQjnOUbDAK0al_wv3VM2EYto2ZEmWvmMdM-kmB8S7ToOUBNPNFnY_B9Jtt1KnfaBBTYYU4YF2GAM-oXsqEU1mduSm_EhfUTcxOglUrxer4nYAHDRGW_rm-GNLVYB9vI/s320/FILE0041.JPG" width="320" /></a></div><br />
Popped out of nowhere at Sukhbaatar square. You can see that it's quite big. Christmas is not a national holiday in Mongolia. Like many other Asian country's, people celebrate it out of interest and because we like festivals. Mostly celebrated by Young people,couples, Christians of Mongolia and big shot company's.<br />
<br />

Another one with the iconic polar bear in front of the State Department Store. I like these seasonal festivals they since they happen once a year and unique stuff appears. Things that happen once in a year or once in a very long time should be taken seriously(only the fun ones though ^.^).<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjqW3LVO5_R9kc-LwzqxtOV79ogzioxWWwV_VeGbVb6onmWpKxDzp9z1ZhAy66kPF8i5ZlA97h4Q4G2n5hgB-yvU1YDzKOkEz9HyBFZUBldzwugjJOk3pz6VP1rE7Nvs0RL3pnlVaEhlPI/s1600/FILE0024.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="240" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjqW3LVO5_R9kc-LwzqxtOV79ogzioxWWwV_VeGbVb6onmWpKxDzp9z1ZhAy66kPF8i5ZlA97h4Q4G2n5hgB-yvU1YDzKOkEz9HyBFZUBldzwugjJOk3pz6VP1rE7Nvs0RL3pnlVaEhlPI/s320/FILE0024.JPG" width="320" /></a></div><br />
A close up on the polar bear holding his bottle of coke. The story of Sandy Claws...er..I mean Santa Claus is the same in Mongolia. We call Santa Claus Өвлийн өвгөн аав(Uvliin uvgun aav)=winters grand father. <br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjvpGT8JsNqDtzvcqp3WaAF-QWTJzmkj8okWGYmEYyG68wvhqzdRsKX5nVcLTAwgNEXrmkVDOqeZNbmX9DR8Y5SmioTxtFT66M60G6jLJ4tlQdTjGH8HKgRHW5oi49-CbHHUFLnNp3HYXg/s1600/FILE0023.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="240" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjvpGT8JsNqDtzvcqp3WaAF-QWTJzmkj8okWGYmEYyG68wvhqzdRsKX5nVcLTAwgNEXrmkVDOqeZNbmX9DR8Y5SmioTxtFT66M60G6jLJ4tlQdTjGH8HKgRHW5oi49-CbHHUFLnNp3HYXg/s320/FILE0023.JPG" width="320" /></a></div><br />
And how can I forget about the top point of the tree the most important part. <br />

All four seasons occur in Mongolia. In winter it snows and get's awfully cold. Always on the minus -10 to -30 or so. In the countryside it can reach up to -40 degrees all of these are in Celsius<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg1fcxkKjt-2XhiFhM4ML3dSd-1_b4egBxp1-C2lfRmVTL4CB4En5-acp4wFI-mO8GjrhAJq5DXNI-kLzxYRum8YT-LG2zsevezj1s9_0li0kbGH6wAteaEqLZDbitHMeSXnTI_dLXupRE/s1600/FILE0046.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="300" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg1fcxkKjt-2XhiFhM4ML3dSd-1_b4egBxp1-C2lfRmVTL4CB4En5-acp4wFI-mO8GjrhAJq5DXNI-kLzxYRum8YT-LG2zsevezj1s9_0li0kbGH6wAteaEqLZDbitHMeSXnTI_dLXupRE/s400/FILE0046.JPG" width="400" /></a></div><br />
<a name='more'></a><br />
Fresh snow falling down. Everything get's blanketed white. I noticed in Japan in the warmer regions that after it snows they immediately melt away. Here it doesn't snow often but when it snows it doesn't me<a href="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5rFBkHb8CL8">lt</a> easily it tends to stay and accumulate.<br />
<br />

Got a chance to go away from the capital. Does this feel like Russia...?<br />
Mongolia in Winter is nice especially if you like fresh natural snow. Although you need to get away from the capital to really feel it. The air also gets crisp, it gives that feeling when you take a deep breath through your nose after eating mint.<br />
<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhswAvzLkDkBISNDkME3ndS2d56uQhr4hj56JXj5xfHPQJ_PRBRR-Er2kxMhsnMMge98YrRay05igOAlY8Phgc_6n5dtz-HnGVL-wYV81UcUXyWy6gEIfK67HAP82749D5t9-iQKictAE0/s1600/FILE0060.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="300" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhswAvzLkDkBISNDkME3ndS2d56uQhr4hj56JXj5xfHPQJ_PRBRR-Er2kxMhsnMMge98YrRay05igOAlY8Phgc_6n5dtz-HnGVL-wYV81UcUXyWy6gEIfK67HAP82749D5t9-iQKictAE0/s400/FILE0060.JPG" width="400" /></a></div><br />
If you like winter and snow(natural) then you should try coming here in winter.<br />
But there are a few downsides. At certain parts of the capital the air gets badly polluted especially at night.It's due to the mass people living in the outer rim of the capital burning coal and wood. They have to stay warm you know, or they'll freeze.<br />
If you stay at a tourist camp away from the city then it should be a pleasant and fresh experience.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEihry5lf-3k4JNEq5U6Bjj444AnBXwQylWvc6MzDhPUd4SxQtvIkDR3YYIMt9q-xtf9vIBgHUxc9-zZAszOBsoA1l7ztaCII9EwOh6vd55CxW0GqlYOX2v1DR9GVwA4WK7wOSSWn79H5l0/s1600/FILE0073.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="300" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEihry5lf-3k4JNEq5U6Bjj444AnBXwQylWvc6MzDhPUd4SxQtvIkDR3YYIMt9q-xtf9vIBgHUxc9-zZAszOBsoA1l7ztaCII9EwOh6vd55CxW0GqlYOX2v1DR9GVwA4WK7wOSSWn79H5l0/s400/FILE0073.JPG" width="400" /></a></div><br />
Walking around the neighborhood of summer houses. In the summer most people especially the elderly move to summer houses away from the hustle of the city to relax, breathe fresh air, make barbecue and to get tanned brown <br />
<br />

Bumped in to some locals and I just happened to be wearing a red coat.<br />

Kinda missed them when I was in Japan. This is called Аарц(aarts) they're curds from sour milk. Can be eaten in many ways. And most Mongolian traditional snacks are made out of milk<br />
<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEigy5g4KfcclOrqaiNg5ZIBvBMRZ3_WsWZdw7OhBdm-QXhetmVXByGQrIHd3BV4X9e6sKQ9LPcgz7EKfhyphenhyphenc_V95fnlzNBMSz4Vy31J4MnruFdpQsZDBoQN0bL7kiE-QaL6tJwdraENgO_M/s1600/FILE0020.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="300" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEigy5g4KfcclOrqaiNg5ZIBvBMRZ3_WsWZdw7OhBdm-QXhetmVXByGQrIHd3BV4X9e6sKQ9LPcgz7EKfhyphenhyphenc_V95fnlzNBMSz4Vy31J4MnruFdpQsZDBoQN0bL7kiE-QaL6tJwdraENgO_M/s400/FILE0020.JPG" width="400" /> </a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br />
</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">Well this is how аарц(aarts) looks like, the main ingredient . Available at big major stores here. Milk product.Was night at this time so didn't have any good lighting.</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;"><br />
</div><a name='more'></a><br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;"></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjd2I1_Do_X3FTt3vJfJompTiGtfMToiq3w2pBOtZGQaGQrCXdGxnxZkG5qfKXRpkr_8iC1RdBYtLOY9-M8tdGdVdERwEhV4gnrboF2X0r41rZrtu9zYkiS4Sd6tKLTckdMQk4FrkVpq3o/s1600/FILE0023.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="300" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjd2I1_Do_X3FTt3vJfJompTiGtfMToiq3w2pBOtZGQaGQrCXdGxnxZkG5qfKXRpkr_8iC1RdBYtLOY9-M8tdGdVdERwEhV4gnrboF2X0r41rZrtu9zYkiS4Sd6tKLTckdMQk4FrkVpq3o/s400/FILE0023.JPG" width="400" /></a></div><br />
Add some of this Smetana or sour milk I think. Was almost out of supply. Again bought from local supermarkets. This really goes well with pastry's with some sugar. This is also a milk product<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgAc7f7oafz-X3ZX5uxEANmCHkhBxMhfG093fAZZfR_UfBVDj9LvDdMDuOTMUYdXlyzrM3e5XXXhBR8XLIFWK0vPFToeOFBoSjhwSaJp1E8bZIyX-dwXlDXgUHfkIfcgUwOUhwszTa9ocg/s1600/FILE0026.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="300" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgAc7f7oafz-X3ZX5uxEANmCHkhBxMhfG093fAZZfR_UfBVDj9LvDdMDuOTMUYdXlyzrM3e5XXXhBR8XLIFWK0vPFToeOFBoSjhwSaJp1E8bZIyX-dwXlDXgUHfkIfcgUwOUhwszTa9ocg/s400/FILE0026.JPG" width="400" /></a></div><br />
And adding some sweet crystals AKA sugar. In Mongolian tis called Саахар(saakhar). <br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj7e36oH4SSZAHrli32jC4lcsEGYooSPObYHOmeGL-fEWTQabVfGR0uQTu_3ud3YtYEpivrNWyX05GWJeYfSJm5PhYTeVXh7YN5DllN7kOBq_MK6adVhDN-0yV_t09oDsWF1bmCjxdUqOw/s1600/FILE0029.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="300" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj7e36oH4SSZAHrli32jC4lcsEGYooSPObYHOmeGL-fEWTQabVfGR0uQTu_3ud3YtYEpivrNWyX05GWJeYfSJm5PhYTeVXh7YN5DllN7kOBq_MK6adVhDN-0yV_t09oDsWF1bmCjxdUqOw/s400/FILE0029.JPG" width="400" /></a></div><br />
And you mix them all up nicely with a spoon or anything (kinda sticky at first), put them in a bowl whirl and twirl....and it's done. Aарц(aarts)-Type:snowball. Well this is the way I eat it. You can also just eat it after mixing without molding it which is boring -_-...<br />
Health facts: Good for your health. (lots of calcium)<br />
Restores 40% of energy. (makes you feel full)<br />
Not that high on calories I think.<br />

This is going to be a more informative series of posts about Mongolia. But take note that even though I'm Mongolian I might make some tiny nano-like mistakes that which really you guys shouldn't worry about ^.^ .<br />
<br />
So let's go. How many of you know where Mongolia is?.Well Let me show you mates.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjz-HHX40cN76pAE0octpoUPg7l4eSGsfM4_y6m3TGpjlKi2w6ryh60rCetX1CgOAVENMXCR7lF9TQ6b8dcxyzRpix0QW9B7j7-noJhdB3DVTBZQJ9NT5BFSTXYV61USKyyugMT4AdgBJI/s1600/map+showing+mongolia.gif" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="347" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjz-HHX40cN76pAE0octpoUPg7l4eSGsfM4_y6m3TGpjlKi2w6ryh60rCetX1CgOAVENMXCR7lF9TQ6b8dcxyzRpix0QW9B7j7-noJhdB3DVTBZQJ9NT5BFSTXYV61USKyyugMT4AdgBJI/s400/map+showing+mongolia.gif" width="400" /></a></div><br />
Mongolia is in the middle of Asia nicely tucked in between Russia and China. Mongolia is a landlocked country we mostly do our trading through China and Russia.<br />
The Capital of Mongolia is Ulaanbaatar (literally-Red Hero).Ulaanbaatar is a Metropolis <br />
Our Population is about 2.700.000 which was in 2009. Now I don't know for sure but maybe around 3.000.000. And Almost 40% of our population lives in our capital.<br />
The land area of Mongolia is 1.564.115.75 km2 (according to wiki).<br />
<br />

<br />
Mongolia is divided in to 21 Aimag's .Aimag is similar to the prefectures of Japan and states of America. It can be translated into province.<br />
<br />
Mongolia, like other Asian countries has a unique culture. The most notable one is our nomadic culture I think. Mongolia's Landscape and Nature are very exotic too.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh-oLA5oaSOrJjjBajtqBuZVPGwPAoW9xw_js6iPlMpMI2CT2UT_9V5mhyofaa5P1SI_yxhwG1-ts5AZqpNvbP8O7jgVNZFXERrkb3Mn3LXo0a5O9ytfMigXCwasYXiQaLotGz0QBES-m8/s1600/%25E3%2581%2588%25E3%2581%2584%25E3%2581%2588%25E3%2582%2593.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="265" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh-oLA5oaSOrJjjBajtqBuZVPGwPAoW9xw_js6iPlMpMI2CT2UT_9V5mhyofaa5P1SI_yxhwG1-ts5AZqpNvbP8O7jgVNZFXERrkb3Mn3LXo0a5O9ytfMigXCwasYXiQaLotGz0QBES-m8/s400/%25E3%2581%2588%25E3%2581%2584%25E3%2581%2588%25E3%2582%2593.JPG" width="400" /></a></div><br />
Our nomadic comrades live in the open. Moving around in their ger (the white tent like house in this picture) herding their cattle,horse,goats,sheep... Some times our nomadic culture overpowers the modern Mongolia And everyone assumes we live like this. So I want to write and show modern Mongolia to the world hehe ^_^. <br />
Most of the population was Nomadic in the Past. But now Nomad's are getting less and less. A lot of people are now moving in to cities or the capital.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgz5N6x30ddYtrliXLvAUK9PzU1SsEOzLIftU7jtKkqUuN7FbBsq9W6iAj9S81We18757BKLcZGWEmtaUq-Xr4IgBzKBoYum4LZjHnIGRl6nX5RCKmBxXG-JeVZPth0TzFV4mIhYIR2emA/s1600/gobi-desert.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="266" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgz5N6x30ddYtrliXLvAUK9PzU1SsEOzLIftU7jtKkqUuN7FbBsq9W6iAj9S81We18757BKLcZGWEmtaUq-Xr4IgBzKBoYum4LZjHnIGRl6nX5RCKmBxXG-JeVZPth0TzFV4mIhYIR2emA/s400/gobi-desert.jpg" width="400" /></a></div><br />
Mongolia is also part home to the <a href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gobi_Desert">Gobi dessert</a> which is in the southern part of Mongolia. The Gobi dessert is the fifth largest in the world.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgVmNL_pCtP5gg7zV6HAHI7c98wiCv3Pyi-HqlVaQlhNWZ_TAufuLqWeymjzFrnUM1CbouBm7MMVPHANTB6h1hFIwib1GTgsk0mJjXCL69qMQH4QnIg5Qd207kqc_Z3oiMAbytaQb6lXAs/s1600/UlaanBaatar-2009.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="260" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgVmNL_pCtP5gg7zV6HAHI7c98wiCv3Pyi-HqlVaQlhNWZ_TAufuLqWeymjzFrnUM1CbouBm7MMVPHANTB6h1hFIwib1GTgsk0mJjXCL69qMQH4QnIg5Qd207kqc_Z3oiMAbytaQb6lXAs/s640/UlaanBaatar-2009.jpg" width="640" /></a></div><br />
Here we Have our capital and the image of modern Mongolia. Mongolia is a developing country, a fast one. Most foreigners I met only knew of the Nomadic Mongolia with beautiful nature. They didn't know of the Metropolis Mongolia .Some people even asked if there are horses running in the city. <br />
<br />

I thought I'd show some pictures of some old buildings I took this week. Starting with<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiFboNdQxLEnyeN60sq0Ao-fMfORdTxYU7ZkBXgSdfy6Yct6tKHnPpdy7uAueSjJCRQ5uISkLhT4Ryi4gbWD85KAUGNEW5VW7y5_e25eVIGYvXODIlDB6gkNwkUIoyFoRT_FNoSkxgH54k/s1600/FILE0082.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="300" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiFboNdQxLEnyeN60sq0Ao-fMfORdTxYU7ZkBXgSdfy6Yct6tKHnPpdy7uAueSjJCRQ5uISkLhT4Ryi4gbWD85KAUGNEW5VW7y5_e25eVIGYvXODIlDB6gkNwkUIoyFoRT_FNoSkxgH54k/s400/FILE0082.JPG" width="400" /></a></div><br />
In the past years there has been LOT's of new buildings being built in Mongolia. Some with new technologies of Korea and Japan (there are places called Korea town and Japan town hehe). But in some of the nooks and crannys left behind A few old buildings still reside.<br />
<br />
<a name='more'></a><br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh9XS9KaDsj2c8JjFDgDoAsTPTwRD7E_mD7r-YARMt1sfrQnOMl0iUcZGn8I7hhhpoerA4x1Fx3w_RJRM9d7M2pGXA_rnTDT7wdHyWUt4QVxXTwJojpxl0jyyjM2B-eoPxjDdaN6zMVuFU/s1600/FILE0083.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="240" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh9XS9KaDsj2c8JjFDgDoAsTPTwRD7E_mD7r-YARMt1sfrQnOMl0iUcZGn8I7hhhpoerA4x1Fx3w_RJRM9d7M2pGXA_rnTDT7wdHyWUt4QVxXTwJojpxl0jyyjM2B-eoPxjDdaN6zMVuFU/s320/FILE0083.JPG" width="320" /></a></div><br />
This one by the way I just recently discovered. I have no Idea what it was used for, but now it looked abandoned and is just waiting to be demolished. Judging from the looks it might have been a resident house or an organizations headquarters.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjDO87mC1iV9PB0cj9o8aklKSjDDylqxAiOrUeuCnp7rEZYAHQuVf1coL0iNVODtR0VsrcSypVU2Rk05eViD4srNtQajGWRPUTgvcZiHP0zLkkFJvF3UrVkEoWH4Dxm_U4t5iYv20Vu4v4/s1600/FILE0098.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="240" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjDO87mC1iV9PB0cj9o8aklKSjDDylqxAiOrUeuCnp7rEZYAHQuVf1coL0iNVODtR0VsrcSypVU2Rk05eViD4srNtQajGWRPUTgvcZiHP0zLkkFJvF3UrVkEoWH4Dxm_U4t5iYv20Vu4v4/s320/FILE0098.JPG" width="320" /></a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiZFWkub4KvX4RH5osLkrhWGnicIXHa7ckWJyWUPm9247Bz2ypBcOQUyCb1MJ2IRXNPghy1C_lALHolxIz5bjBxnLtvDh_svMcUCcmEadw8-_erXQRPZbk6ma0b6r73uzO-JJQR7mgTBPg/s1600/FILE0099.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><br />
</a></div> I'd never seen a demolished building up close before. I had forgotten what the original building was, Although I used to walk by here XP. It kinda looked cool...Is it because I'm a boy?<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiZFWkub4KvX4RH5osLkrhWGnicIXHa7ckWJyWUPm9247Bz2ypBcOQUyCb1MJ2IRXNPghy1C_lALHolxIz5bjBxnLtvDh_svMcUCcmEadw8-_erXQRPZbk6ma0b6r73uzO-JJQR7mgTBPg/s1600/FILE0099.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="240" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiZFWkub4KvX4RH5osLkrhWGnicIXHa7ckWJyWUPm9247Bz2ypBcOQUyCb1MJ2IRXNPghy1C_lALHolxIz5bjBxnLtvDh_svMcUCcmEadw8-_erXQRPZbk6ma0b6r73uzO-JJQR7mgTBPg/s320/FILE0099.JPG" width="320" /></a></div><br />
Most of the old buildings in Mongolia are built of bricks. Nowadays we still use bricks but also we're starting to use cement and other efficient materials. I would've liked to shoot a few videos here using the background. After all you don't see demolished buildings that often.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj9PcjpcQwv6UhFK0J4InDgbcI92KOKoXMChfBDy7uAgiX__glSbGtFMH0u2i8jY78sp9QveWGVksf72D4yx7UuqKsyxf3EhH4EA9VbCJOZrOAZgZcvnabsmoJXDGXOPtoz0G4QJTHF7Pg/s1600/FILE0093.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="240" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj9PcjpcQwv6UhFK0J4InDgbcI92KOKoXMChfBDy7uAgiX__glSbGtFMH0u2i8jY78sp9QveWGVksf72D4yx7UuqKsyxf3EhH4EA9VbCJOZrOAZgZcvnabsmoJXDGXOPtoz0G4QJTHF7Pg/s320/FILE0093.JPG" width="320" /></a></div><br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"></div> Some night shots taken from the 14th floor of a building. Not as bright as Tokyo or Timesquare but we're getting there :D <br />

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"></div>If you come to Mongolia be sure to check this spot. Not really a tourist spot but.... It's interesting. It's an abandoned 14 story building that hasn't been in use for over 10 years. Empty without even windows. It's position is really good right around the middle of the city and close to a big department store. The obvious rumor is it's haunted. For the past 10 years it's surrounding changed and developed but only this building remains the same. Kinda like time has stopped on it<br />
<br />
ok hope you enjoyed.<br />

Clear sky's cloud levels low. very nice. but got annoyingly hot in the noon. Clouds always disappear when you need them most.<br />

This year I unexpectedly was in various places and got a good chance to observe the sky from different points was omoshiroi(interesting). This is The sky from storm wind...... from Japan.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiLZnbwZmeAAGYK5Q9p3nDSeERkaNHB_7Ebh2NlbVjaIwX_jXRX9rCwg-gG-gKoI96pr9AIPuk6filkHtDztNfX82e8cWTxFQtABx38uqHcbwj6dpNOrx5-jvUZ4qiXrePRrzBmyM61LZM/s1600/FILE0371.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="300" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiLZnbwZmeAAGYK5Q9p3nDSeERkaNHB_7Ebh2NlbVjaIwX_jXRX9rCwg-gG-gKoI96pr9AIPuk6filkHtDztNfX82e8cWTxFQtABx38uqHcbwj6dpNOrx5-jvUZ4qiXrePRrzBmyM61LZM/s400/FILE0371.JPG" width="400" /></a></div><br />
And This here is from vana diel.... it's from America. Well Got to admit no matter where you are on this marble you are surrounded by one space and the same sky. There are only slight differences caused by the climate me thinks.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiXXSazOFbsYAwN2ReMB9JJJDVkKwVWgsbjhmue6dxtYHr2JNugHewde-wSnyAND3sE6LyAGXnGT07VMi0QVWbnwtTDi36ZpaVxQimQmXwu93TYDzqUOtqtFOZCsp7b_BJPaIDeJoZ98TQ/s1600/FILE0011.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="300" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiXXSazOFbsYAwN2ReMB9JJJDVkKwVWgsbjhmue6dxtYHr2JNugHewde-wSnyAND3sE6LyAGXnGT07VMi0QVWbnwtTDi36ZpaVxQimQmXwu93TYDzqUOtqtFOZCsp7b_BJPaIDeJoZ98TQ/s400/FILE0011.JPG" width="400" /></a></div><br />
