Day in Mongolia 9: Rain

7 years ago as I remember rain was a rare phenomenon in Mongolia. But over the years it's raining more and more. It mostly rains in the months between April and August.

Day in Mongolia 8

Every year after the advent of summer new buildings start to arise everywhere. More and more building's are being built in Mongolia.

There were no white walls in winter and I think they built the body last summer. The buildings are also getting higher and sophisticated. I remember back 2001 the tallest was only 12 stories high, now 12 is the norm.

Chinggis(Genghis) khan's Monument

There are a lot of Monuments of Chingis khan in Mongolia. And they're a must-visit for tourists. The most recent built and biggest one is at a place called Tsonjin Boldog about an hours drive away from the capital.

Food show at school

There are lot's of events at school throughout the year, one of them is the Food show...or competition of fair...
Anyway all the high school classes make their class special hand-made foods and showcase them.

Finally everything is over now. And summer break officially starts, time to just hit the floor.

Day in Mongolia 7: Sky ski resort

In the old days we didn't have these ski places we only had a mountain covered with snow a small building beside it renting sledges made out of metal and wood. After hearing that this place had snowboards..our MC just had to go.
